In Short

  • Manage all components of new business development including opportunity identification and proposal efforts.
  • Plan and conduct sales presentations to targeted customers.
  • Develop and manage strategic account plans for long-range business growth.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Identify potential clients and decision makers.
  • Enhance key client relationships through networking activities.
  • Handle objections and work towards positive conclusions.
  • Attend industry functions and share information on trends.
  • Develop the company’s unique selling propositions.
  • Ensure accurate data management within the company’s CRM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development within the Public Sector.
  • Proven success in capture management or related roles in defense contracting.
  • Experience with federal acquisition regulations.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of integrity with sensitive information.
  • Relevant experience with a Defense Contractor.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
