In Short

• CS Group Canada is looking for a System Software Design Engineer.
• Create/modify embedded system/software design.
• Run associated tests and interpret results for correctness.
• Carry out system and software design in accordance with ARP4754 & DO-178.
• Write software and system requirements.
• Maintain traceability between software design and requirements.
• Test design modifications on simulators or hardware platforms.
• Review design work performed by team members.
• Draft associated documentation and deliver Design Review presentations.
• Participate in continuous improvement of team performance.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• System knowledge in Turbomachinery & aircraft engines.
• Experience with DO-178.
• 3 to 5 years in similar environments.
• Interest in troubleshooting complex hardware and software problems.
• Software knowledge: Model-based Development (SCADE, Matlab/Simulink), Labview, Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN.
• Basics in protocols CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity, and problem-solving ability.
