Overview

The Embedded Software Designer and Tester will be responsible for testing embedded safety-critical software applications used in Aerospace or Defense Systems. The role may evolve to include leadership and software development responsibilities.

In Short

  • Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software.
  • Collaborate with software, quality, design, and test engineers.
  • Proficient in embedded software development using C and C++.
  • Experience with Hardware In the Loop (HIL) Testing.
  • Guide less experienced team members.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams.
  • Use various development tools and adhere to compliance standards.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Preference for candidates located in the Hartford area.

Requirements

  • Experience in embedded systems, especially with C.
  • Open to candidates with varying levels of experience.
  • Knowledge of Python, Visual Basic, and Matlab is advantageous.
  • Experience with DO-178C or similar standards is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects.
  • Willingness to travel approximately six weeks per year.
