Conflicts Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Conflicts Analyst supports the firm’s risk management need and new business function by collecting necessary information to perform thorough and accurate conflict of interest checks on proposed new representations and lateral attorney hiring.

In Short

• Conducts corporate research to confirm accuracy of party names.
• Enters and updates data in the firm’s conflicts database.
• Analyzes new matter requests for compliance with firm policies.
• Reviews conflict of interest reports for new firm matters.
• Assists with resolution strategies for conflicts issues.
• Reviews engagement letters for compliance with firm templates.
• Trains new Conflicts Information Specialists and Analysts.
• Participates in testing and development of electronic tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of conflicts of interest issues.
• High level of knowledge of technical systems in law firms.
• Effective communication skills with attorneys and staff.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
• High level of knowledge of internet research.
• Accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to master new technology applications.
• Advanced skills in operating standard office equipment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
