Overview

This senior-level role is part of a national managed care organization that focuses on clinical coding quality and education programs. You'll lead inpatient coding audits and develop training programs to enhance accuracy and compliance.

In Short

  • Lead inpatient coding audits and review medical necessity.
  • Develop and execute complex inpatient coding audit processes.
  • Design and deliver clinical coding education and training programs.
  • Identify training gaps and recommend targeted education solutions.
  • Partner with staff to resolve audit findings and improve accuracy.
  • Present audit results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain training records and documentation.
  • Support updates to policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Travel to New York twice per year for onsite meetings.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related clinical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in nursing, training, or auditing in managed care.
  • Inpatient coding audit experience.
  • Current coding certification: CPC, CIC, or CCS.
  • 1+ year of inpatient clinical experience.
  • Strong written communication skills.
