Overview

The Veterinary Account Executive is responsible for driving the adoption of Covetrus VetSuite by identifying opportunities within the veterinary marketplace and managing a pipeline of prospects.

In Short

  • Identify target veterinary practices for sales opportunities.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
  • Establish strong relationships with decision-makers in veterinary clinics.
  • Analyze customer needs and provide solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Travel up to 65-70% for field visits and meetings.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas and performance measures.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in national and regional sales meetings.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of products and services offered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or animal health science.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in sales, with 5+ years in a quota-carrying role.
  • Proven track record of generating leads and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with objection handling and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred.
