We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Internal Tools team at Coursera. This team builds high-leverage internal products that support our employees across functions such as content operations, learner support, finance, and legal.

In Short

Build, scale, and maintain full stack internal web applications.
Own features end-to-end, from technical design to implementation.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and end-users.
Write high-quality, well-tested code across the stack.
Drive architectural discussions and make key design decisions.
Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Participate in sprint planning and retrospective discussions.
Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of internal systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4–7 years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in backend languages like Java, Golang, or Python.
Strong frontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and container technologies is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
