Full Stack Engineer - Remote

Overview

We seek an innovative, fast-learning, and detail-oriented person to join our Engineering team as a Full Stack Engineer. This individual will implement new features, maintain existing ones, and collaborate with other team members to build industry-shaping solutions for higher education.

In Short

• Drive development efforts from the initial idea to release to customer adoption
• Drive innovation in our tech stack
• Ensure our application is stable, performant, and scales
• Collaborate with other Engineering team members to ensure high code quality
• Work with Product and Customer Success teams to resolve technical issues
• Participate in on-call to ensure system stability and uptime
• Establish deep technical knowledge of specific parts of the product suite
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Contribute to a remote-first work environment
• Share in the team's success through equity allocation

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Knowledge of Node.js and Express
• Fluency with modern web application frameworks like React or Vue
• Knowledge of MongoDB
• Experience with writing scalable and performant code
• Understanding of asynchronous programming
• Experience building microservices and serverless code
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
• Helpful: experience with PDF generation libraries and templating languages
• Understanding accessibility and server-side security compliance
