Product Designer - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a strategic, craft-driven mid-level Product Designer to join our team and help shape the future of academic operations. At Coursedog, we build tools for higher education that support curriculum management, scheduling, and student success—mission-critical operations that advance institutional efficiency, collaboration, and student outcomes.

In Short

• Design Experiences: Explore and refine product ideas through a user-centered process.
• Content Design & UX Writing: Craft clear interface copy to enhance usability.
• Document Design Specifications: Create polished visual designs and ensure quality implementation.
• UX Evaluation: Identify and address UX issues through various evaluation methods.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to ensure design solutions are impactful.
• Design System Contribution: Help establish and evolve the design system in Figma.
• Strategic Design Thinking: Balance user needs with technical constraints and business goals.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of UX/Product Design experience.
• Deep interaction design expertise and understanding of usability heuristics.
• Strong systems thinking and information architecture skills.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating design rationale.
• Familiarity with contextual design and service design.
• Experience with user research and identifying user insights.
• Familiarity with Figma libraries and maintaining design systems.
• Proven success in cross-functional collaboration.
• Self-starter with strong ownership.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complexity.
