Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing and directing the month-end close activities and financial controls for the Buildings and Components divisions within the Shelters business unit.

In Short

• Review and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
• Review account reconciliations and investigate outstanding balance issues
• Month end, Quarter end, and Year-end financial analysis and reporting
• Initiate, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives
• Providing financial analysis of key metrics, including timely issuance of accurate reports to internal customers
• Investigating and resolving transactional processing issues
• Performing periodic financial statement analysis and reporting, including roll forward schedules
• Executing internal controls (SOX) and assisting with internal/external audit requests
• Providing ad-hoc support to Division and Segment leadership

Requirements

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Understanding and application of U.S. GAAP fundamentals
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting with a focus on financial analysis and process improvement
• Supervisory experience managing a team of multiple accountants and clerks
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Ability to operate in a large ERP system; Oracle experience is preferred
