Engineering Application Support Specialist - Remote

Overview

The role of an Engineering Application Support Specialist is to provide technical support and expertise for engineering software applications used across Coperion. This includes troubleshooting issues, ensuring optimal performance of engineering tools, assisting users with application-related queries, and facilitating training sessions to enhance user proficiency.

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of application-related projects.
• 1+ year experience with engineering cloud-based applications and services required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred; equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Requirements

• Proven experience in application support, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering software applications (e.g., CAD, PLM, simulation tools).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) or SQL or Oracle DB scripting is a plus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
• Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Experience in relevant applications: PTC Windchill (PLM) & CAD Applications (Autodesk, PTC Creo Parametric, DS SolidWorks, Siemens Nx).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
