Overview

The Field Service Support Technician II is responsible for providing quality installations, maintenance, and repairs of plastic injection/extrusion equipment, requiring significant travel and technical expertise.

In Short

• 100% travel with most weekends at home.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing plastic injection/extrusion equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
• Interface effectively with customers to repair equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend necessary repairs.
• Install software programs on manufactured machines.
• Utilize administrative tools like Concur and Sales Force.
• Fill out startup sheets and calibration certificates.
• Part of the Aftermarket Service team reporting to the Regional Service Manager.
• Physical demands include lifting and working at heights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical components.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Possess an active driver’s license.
• Preferred experience with plastic injection/extrusion equipment.
• Good mechanical and electrical skills.
• Comfortable with physical demands of the job.
• Ability to work in heights occasionally.
