Overview

Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organization where new business opportunities come to life. Within the Business Development Representative (BDR) role, we support the COPE Health Solutions sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact within the organization by generating new business pipelines each year.

In Short

  • Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
  • Manage inbound leads that are driven by outbound effort
  • Nurture early-stage opportunities
  • Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing Salesforce customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned territory
  • Partner with account leads and sales team to identify and source new pipeline opportunities
  • Align with internal account team
  • Identify key decision makers within new accounts
  • Preparation for and participation in client pre-sale and pitch meetings and calls
  • Travel for marketing events, sales and pitch meetings as needed nationally
  • Research on targets/leads, their markets, competitors, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in business development, sales or related field experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling
  • Proven track record of achieving sales metrics
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary
