Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Legal Counsel for our client in the financial sector in Zurich. As part of a dedicated legal team at the forefront of digital transformation in cashless payment transactions, you will provide legal advice with a business perspective.

In Short

• Legal handling of questions in various areas including contract law, consumer credit law, advertising law, labor law, financial market law, criminal law, data protection law, commercial law, debt collection, bankruptcy law, and intellectual property law.
• Drafting contracts, legal review of marketing materials, and creating legal notes and clarifications (approximately 60% of the time).
• Legal support for projects, such as the development and launch of new products, including training and statements (approximately 40%).
• Supporting the General Counsel and peers with legal matters while gradually taking on own projects.
• Clarifying legal questions and preparing submissions to authorities and courts.
• Developing templates and contract models as needed.

Requirements

• Completed legal studies (Master of Law from a Swiss university) and a Swiss attorney license.
• Several years of professional experience as a corporate lawyer or in a business law firm, ideally in the financial sector.
• In-depth knowledge in contract law, consumer credit law, competition law, data protection law, and financial market law.
• Interest in digital business models and new technologies in payment transactions.
• Independent, proactive, and communicative personality with strong negotiation skills and high planning competence.
• German as a native language and very good English skills, both written and spoken.
