Overview

As a CGS Paralegal, you will work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor, providing litigation and administrative support to a group of United States Attorneys. This role is essential in contributing to government innovation through legal processes and documentation.

In Short

  • Provide litigation and administrative support to U.S. Attorneys.
  • Draft and file legal documents using the Electronic Court Filing system.
  • Prepare garnishments, liens, and other legal documents.
  • Manage collection activities and communicate with AUSAs.
  • Conduct fact research in public information databases.
  • Assist in trial preparation and manage case files.
  • Maintain calendars and schedules for active cases.
  • Utilize various software for document management and case organization.
  • Complete travel arrangements in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Provide general office support functions.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending ABA-accredited law school.
  • One year of legal training or experience, or two years of college education.
  • Litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Basic legal knowledge and experience with legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work.
