Overview

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) role involves managing security assessments and documentation to support the Department of Commerce's systems and achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO). This position is focused on the full life-cycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) management through the RMF process.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Experience with ATO package development and security documentation.
  • eMASS experience is preferred.
  • Professional security certifications such as CCNA Security or CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
