System Administrator Provisioning - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Systemadministrator Provisioning (all genders) to start as soon as possible. We live remote-first, but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.

A large part of the customer experience at Contabo is defined at the very moment our products are provisioned. This is exactly where you come in.

As a Systemadministrator Provisioning, you are part of a team that ensures our services are delivered reliably and quickly to our customers. You operate at the intersection of infrastructure, operations, and development — making sure that an order turns into a fully functioning product.

In your day-to-day work, you monitor and support our provisioning processes, analyze incidents, and step in when deployments do not run as expected. You work through logs, distinguish between software and hardware-related issues, and find pragmatic solutions to ensure systems are provisioned smoothly and efficiently.

A key part of your role is cross-team collaboration. You work closely with development, provide structured feedback on issues, and support analysis and validation efforts. At the same time, you coordinate with our international data center teams and external partners when it comes to resolving hardware-related issues on-site.

Beyond day-to-day operations, you keep the bigger picture in mind. You support hardware capacity planning, ensure sufficient resources are available for incoming customer orders, and help maintain clean and reliable inventory and asset structures.

Another important aspect of your role is challenging existing processes. Where are deployments unnecessarily slow? Where do errors occur? Where can we automate or simplify? You actively contribute to making our provisioning processes more robust, efficient, and scalable.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Linux and Windows systems.
• Solid understanding of server hardware and datacenter environments.
• Experience with logs and technical issue analysis.
• Basic knowledge of networking and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Very good English skills.
