Vice President of Risk Management, Affordable Housing - Remote

Overview

The Vice President of Risk Management will be responsible for formulating and leading the development of an enterprise-wide risk management strategy, oriented towards the affordable housing industry.

In Short

• Oversee the Risk Management Department and administer a comprehensive risk management program.
• Collaborate with various departments including Legal, Property Management, and Development.
• Manage the annual budget for Risk Management.
• Communicate risk management policies and procedures effectively.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory safety requirements.
• Oversee the claims process including incident reporting and claims administration.
• Direct and oversee risk transfer programs and insurance negotiations.
• Review and analyze Risk Management Information Systems functionalities.
• Manage recruitment and performance of risk management staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in Affordable Housing Risk Management.
• Expertise in Captive Insurance and claims management.
• Ability to conduct research and analyze data.
• Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Risk Management or related field.
