Protect & Build Campaign Organizer - Remote

Overview

The Protect & Build Campaign Organizer will play a critical role in advancing Community Change and Community Change Action’s Protect & Build Our Safety Net campaign and State Powerbuilding Strategy, focusing on organizing low-income communities.

In Short

• Full-time, contracted for one year.
• Lead implementation of the Protect & Build Our Safety Net campaign.
• Organize impacted individuals through direct outreach and leadership development.
• Support state-based powerbuilding efforts in targeted states.
• Work with grassroots partners on Medicaid/SNAP campaigns.
• Contribute to field plans aligned with national campaign goals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for campaign messaging.
• Identify and cultivate potential leaders.
• Track progress on leadership development and base growth.
• Support partner organizations in strengthening their organizing infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in community, electoral, or labor organizing.
• Understanding of Medicaid, SNAP, or social safety net programs.
• Experience in rural areas or with cross-partisan constituencies preferred.
• Strong campaign planning skills.
• Ability to build relationships across lines of race, class, and geography.
• Experience with leadership development and training models.
• Commitment to racial, economic, and gender justice.
• Ability to travel 35-45% and work flexible hours.
• Proficiency in digital organizing tools and Google Workspace.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Salary range of $75,000-$90,000 annually.
