Overview

The Senior Director of Human Resources will be an integral and strategic leader, driving, implementing, and organizing COC’s human resource systems.

In Short

  • Lead the development and execution of human resources vision at Color Of Change.
  • Manage all HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Compliance.
  • Ensure HR compliance and communicate urgent issues to leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on HR strategies.
  • Oversee performance management processes and training for managers.
  • Lead collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
  • Design compensation and benefits programs.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Support a healthy organizational culture and employee engagement.
  • Participate in the annual budget process for the HR department.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of senior-level HR experience in organizations with budgets over $20M.
  • Experience in racial/social justice and campaign organizations.
  • Direct experience with collective bargaining and labor relations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with HRIS software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel up to 10%.
  • Strong ethics and sensitivity in handling confidential matters.
  • Proven ability to coach and inspire team members.
  • Experience in building trust and practicing discretion.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft and Google Suite.
