Technical Services Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Technical Services Engineer (TSE) provides operational, architectural, and integration support for Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) products through close collaboration with developers and development teams. This role combines troubleshooting complex technical issues, designing optimal integration architectures, creating technical documentation and sample code, and establishing CDP product best practices.

In Short

• Lead the integration and onboarding of developers to CDP APIs, SDKs, and other technical products.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues through log analysis, code reviews, and internal reproduction.
• Oncall support for handling technical queries on Discord and support developers during company-led hackathons.
• Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and sample code.
• Provide technical advisory support to developers building using CDP products.
• Design and implement scalable integration solutions for enterprise developers.
• Analyze developer feedback and usage patterns to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to drive product enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in technical roles involving software engineering, solutions architecture, Technical Account Management, or similar positions requiring hands-on coding.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of SDKs, REST APIs, and debugging in Linux/Unix environments.
• Coding Skills: Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Javascript and Python, with ability to work across multiple languages including Java and C#.
• System Design: Ability to architect scalable integration solutions and provide best practices guidance.
• Communication: Outstanding technical writing abilities and excellent verbal communication skills for developer enablement.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
