In Short

• Leverage blockchain analytics and financial crime expertise to conduct in-depth investigations and analysis in support of Coinbase’s BSA/AML program.
• Conduct reviews of higher risk cases referred by partner teams.
• Apply investigatory techniques to ambiguous complex fact patterns.
• Evaluate AML and fraud-related alerting activity.
• Conduct Continuing Activity Reviews (CARs) of customer activity.
• Initiate 314(b) requests and enhanced due diligence (EDD) requests.
• Analyze KYC information and conduct open-source and due diligence research.
• Maintain detailed documentation for compliance.
• Stay current with industry standards in KYC, BSA/AML, and OFAC.
• Work on cases with high levels of confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in AML investigations.
• Cryptocurrency or blockchain experience.
• Ability to deal with highly confidential information.
• Exceptional written and research skills.
• Effective communication with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
• Ability to interact with senior management on sensitive matters.
• Provide oversight of functions executed by cross-functional departments.

Benefits

• Target annual salary range: $99,365 - $116,900 USD.
• Target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
