Overview

Coinbase is seeking a passionate Investigation Analyst to leverage blockchain analytics and financial crime expertise to conduct in-depth investigations and analysis in support of its BSA/AML program.

In Short

• Conduct investigations and analysis related to financial crimes.
• Review higher risk cases involving potential fraud or money laundering.
• Apply investigatory techniques to complex fact patterns.
• Evaluate AML and fraud-related alerting activity.
• Conduct Continuing Activity Reviews (CARs).
• Initiate requests to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze KYC information and conduct due diligence research.
• Maintain documentation for compliance.
• Stay current with industry standards in KYC and BSA/AML.
• Work independently while being a team player.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in AML investigations.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Exceptional written and research skills.
• Effective communication with regulatory agencies and law enforcement.
• Experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain is a plus.
• CAMS, CFE, or CFCS certification is preferred.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work on sensitive case matters.
• Provide oversight of cross-functional departments.
