Overview

Coinbase is seeking an experienced compliance leader to serve as the Chief Compliance Officer and CAMLO for Coinbase Canada, responsible for managing compliance in a high growth market.

In Short

• Lead Compliance efforts for CIRO Investment Dealer application.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Canada.
• Provide updates to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Manage regulatory notifications and communications.
• Oversee Compliance Risk Assessments.
• Update policies to meet regulatory changes.
• Deploy Compliance training for employees.
• Remediate findings from audits and exams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on compliance obligations.

Requirements

• 8+ years in compliance, including senior leadership roles.
• Knowledge of Canadian Securities and Financial Crime Regulation.
• Experience with Canadian regulators (OSC, CIRO, FINTRAC).
• Experience managing regulatory applications.
• Ability to manage Compliance Programs independently.
• Strong relationship-building skills with senior management.
• Experience in developing internal controls.
• Ability to generate strategies across a global organization.
• CSI Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Examination.
