Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Writer to join our world-class Documentation team. You will drive the documentation strategy for CockroachDB self-hosted deployment management, with a primary focus on the Kubernetes operator and other proprietary tooling under active development.

In Short

• Drive documentation strategy for CockroachDB self-hosted deployment management.
• Focus on Kubernetes operator and proprietary tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Bangalore and writers in Bangalore and New York.
• Create comprehensive documentation including how-to guides and tutorials.
• Take ownership of key deployment and operations documentation.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate complex concepts into clear guidance.
• Guide users in integrating CockroachDB with existing infrastructure.
• Help define and evolve team processes and style conventions.
• Share knowledge and expertise with other writers.
• Participate in onboarding and team integration activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience producing documentation for technical audiences.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Linux systems.
• Experience with cloud services, databases, APIs, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Git and docs-as-code workflows.
• Ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly.
• Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
