Join us in our mission to change what it is to be blind in Canada. CNIB is providing international internships for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who identify as living with a disability, focusing on creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities.

In Short

  • Internship Dates: May 12th to August 22nd, 2025.
  • Home Based: Anywhere in Canada.
  • In-person location: Jamaica, Guyana, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda.
  • Vacancies: 17.
  • Compensation: $24.17/hr for remote internships.
  • Full time, contract internship.
  • Support host organization through assigned responsibilities.
  • Engage in disability-inclusive international development.
  • Manage a project designated by the host organization.
  • Prepare accessible documents and attend project meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Aged 18-30.
  • Identify as living with a disability (preference for visual based disability).
  • Ability to engage in learning and mentorship activities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in project management or related fields.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse team.
  • Ability to prepare plain language documents.
  • Flexibility to attend regular meetings.
  • Other related administrative duties as required.
