Overview

The Director of Land Entitlement at Oakwood is responsible for managing the entire entitlement process for new acquisitions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders.

In Short

  • Perform feasibility analysis and due diligence for new acquisitions.
  • Support the preparation of underwriting packages.
  • Manage entitlement processes and related consultants.
  • Conduct project-based business planning and management.
  • Lead and manage the Entitlement Manager.
  • Coordinate community operations including HOA and Metro District management.
  • Maintain relationships with local jurisdictions and builders.
  • Support the Division President in operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new acquisitions and entitlement projects.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or MRED preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in land acquisition and entitlement.
  • Home building experience is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Strong understanding of the entitlement and development process.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and consultants.
  • Ability to meet ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
