Overview

The Development Manager plays a vital role in supporting the capital campaign and broader fundraising initiatives of Claris Health. This position involves multifaceted responsibilities including campaign logistics, donor engagement support, committee coordination, administrative assistance, database management, and event planning. The Development Manager should be skilled at cultivating donor relationships through clear and consistent communications. They ensure the smooth execution of the capital campaign while contributing to the overall success of Claris Health’s development efforts. In addition, this role serves as a liaison between leadership and key stakeholders, including the Board President and CEO, to support clear communication and alignment around fundraising priorities.

In Short

  • Provide administrative support to the development team.
  • Coordinate the capital campaign timeline.
  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect records in the CRM/database.
  • Assist in implementing communication strategies with donors.
  • Draft and prepare donor correspondence.
  • Support donor stewardship efforts.
  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising events.
  • Serve as liaison between development staff and leadership.
  • Provide support to key fundraising committees.
  • Support research of new donor prospects.

Requirements

  • Passion for the mission of Claris Health.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with donor databases is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
