Overview

The Division of Transportation Planning & Management (TPM) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people and goods on the City's streets, supporting the larger goals of economic and social vitality for people living, working, and doing business in New York City.

• Seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator for the Public Realm Unit.
• Responsible for developing and implementing pedestrian-centered projects.
• Lead project development from research to public presentations.
• Conduct thorough information gathering and analysis.
• Create CAD drawings to illustrate traffic conditions.
• Coordinate with other DOT units and community entities.
• Supervise interns and support staff as needed.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
• Two years of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of traffic calming and urban design issues.
• Excellent writing, editing, and oral presentation skills.
• Understanding of public realm maintenance and operational demands.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Capability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
