Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a Mediator and Intake Specialist to mediate consumer complaints and ensure equitable resolutions for both consumers and businesses.

In Short

  • Communicate with consumers and businesses regarding complaints.
  • Analyze and resolve consumer complaints in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Maintain agency database and provide reports.
  • Perform data entry and follow up on complaints.
  • Provide front desk reception coverage.
  • Prepare training materials and assist in training others.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
