Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is looking for a Customer Service Representative to provide high-volume customer service and perform clerical tasks related to licensing.

In Short

• Perform ordinary mathematical computations while processing payments.
• Conduct clerical work including data processing and maintaining records.
• Provide high-volume customer service in person and via phone.
• Assist applicants with communication to other city agencies.
• Answer calls, emails, and written correspondence.
• Attend seminars and trainings as required.
• Follow all division and agency policies.
• Handle all relevant licensing tasks as assigned.
• Ensure accuracy and conformity of records.
• Work under supervision for various clerical tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes per minute.
