Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as the Associate General Counsel, overseeing the Affirmative and Licensing Litigation Unit to protect consumers and enforce laws.

In Short

  • Lead oversight of affirmative litigation attorneys and manage investigative work.
  • Develop strategies for prosecuting illegal business practices.
  • Provide legal counseling on licensing laws and compliance.

  • Maintain membership in the New York State Bar during employment.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Four years of relevant legal experience, including supervision.
  • Experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity.
  • Strong writing skills and experience with strategic planning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
