Overview

The Assistant Director of Project Implementation will support the Cycling & Micromobility Unit in enhancing the bicycle and greenway network in New York City, focusing on safe street redesign and increasing cycling ridership.

In Short

• Supervise bicycle Street Improvement Project implementation.
• Coordinate pavement markings and installation of elements.
• Develop and enhance the bicycle network.
• Prepare reports, plans, and presentations.
• Conduct community outreach related to bicycle facility design.
• Coordinate with government agencies and community groups.
• Deliver presentations at public meetings.
• Perform traffic analysis and street design.
• Manage fieldwork and project implementation.
• Track state of good repair for projects.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in a relevant field.
• Two years of experience in related duties.
• Experience with traffic calming techniques.
• Familiarity with Synchro and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to guide projects through multi-step lifecycles.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
• Fieldwork management experience.
• Creative presentation skills.
