Resident Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Resident Engineer will provide system level post-sales support for Ciena’s customer base, focusing on technical support and troubleshooting for various Ciena products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 2-5 years' experience in technical support.
• Excellent understanding of Ciena Packet products and technologies.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team player with adaptability to changing demands.
• Mid-level expertise in data communications protocols.
• Familiarity with optical test equipment.
