Accredited Financial Counselor for Military Families - Remote

Overview

As an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), you will deliver financial literacy training, one-on-one counseling, and group workshops in support of the Navy’s Personal Financial Management program. You will help families build resilience through sound financial practices.

In Short

• Provide financial education and counseling services to Sailors and their families.
• Deliver financial counseling, debt management, budgeting, and savings/investment education.
• Conduct workshops, classes, and individualized sessions on financial literacy.
• Maintain AFC credential and ensure services meet DoD and Navy standards.
• Provide accurate documentation, reporting, and case management for financial services.
• Assist Sailors and families in developing action plans to achieve financial stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accredited Financial Counselor certification.
• Experience delivering financial counseling or education programs.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background investigation.
