  • Conduct financial counseling prior to service.

  • Collect co-payments and other account payments.
  • Analyze patient insurance coverage for financial assistance needs.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • 1-3 years of financial counseling experience.
  • 1-3 years of hospital registration experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and general business operations.
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to interpret complex written materials related to insurance.
