Overview

Equip is seeking an experienced Financial Counselor who will assist patients and their families in understanding insurance coverage, billing processes, and payment plans, serving as a liaison between patients and insurance plans.

In Short

• Answer patients’ billing questions within 24 hours.
• Assist patients in understanding benefits information.
• Set up and track payment plans.
• Ensure department goals are met.
• Represent Equip Health professionally.
• Comply with HIPAA and Privacy Act.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in financial counseling or medical billing.
• Strong billing expertise.
• Knowledge of HIPAA policies.
• Proficient with digital communication platforms.
