Claims Advocate/Paralegal - Remote

Overview

This role involves supporting case development for a law firm focused on assisting disabled military veterans and their families by gathering information, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing assessments.

In Short

• Conduct research and prepare assessments for client cases.
• Draft claims, arguments, and motions for legal cases.
• Prioritize and complete case assignments to meet deadlines.
• Conduct interviews and draft declarations for clients.
• Update case management program files with relevant information.
• Develop knowledge of pertinent case law.
• Attend training sessions and assist in training new staff.
• Coordinate with other advocates to achieve workload objectives.
• Complete additional training as assigned.

Requirements

• High School degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work well in teams.
