Overview

The Sales Engineer will assess a prospect’s technical requirements and apply extensive knowledge of Chainguard products to illustrate how a deal will satisfy the client’s unmet needs. This role involves cultivating relationships with decision-makers and securing technical wins.

In Short

  • Partner with Sales Team to evaluate and prove the value of solutions
  • Focus on acquiring new customers and growing existing base
  • Own technical aspects of sales opportunities
  • Listen to customers and understand their challenges
  • Conduct product demonstrations and POVs/POCs
  • Participate in webinars, meetups, and conferences

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Understanding of cloud security and app security
  • Startup experience
  • Ability to build credibility with customers
  • Strong team player
