Overview

The role involves assessing a prospect’s technical requirements, applying knowledge of Chainguard products, and cultivating relationships with decision-makers to secure technical wins.

In Short

  • Partner with the Sales Team to evaluate and prove the value of solutions.
  • Focus on acquiring new customers and growing the existing customer base.
  • Own technical aspects of sales opportunities and assist customers in understanding Chainguard's value.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and participate in marketing initiatives.
  • Listen to customers and understand their challenges.
  • Engage in webinars and conferences when applicable.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC and Command of the Message sales frameworks.
  • Experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects (3+ years).
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Understanding of cloud security and app security.
  • Startup experience is a plus.
  • Ability to build credibility and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong team player committed to mentoring peers.
