Overview

The Claims Technician II is responsible for verifying, processing, and adjudicating claims, and assists with training new hires. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely payment for medical services.

In Short

  • Verify and process claims for medical services.

  • High school diploma and relevant experience needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD, HCPCS).
  • Experience in medical claims processing or billing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to utilize various computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience.
  • Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits.
  • Experience in a customer service role is a plus.
