Intake Coordinator - Home Health - Remote

Overview

As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing incoming calls from referral sources or potential patients, assessing their needs, and facilitating their transition to home care services.

In Short

• Receive and respond to calls from referral sources and potential patients.
• Record outcomes of calls and perform follow-ups as necessary.
• Conduct initial screenings to determine patient eligibility for home care.
• Advise branch staff on patient acceptance and necessary information.
• Identify and verify payer sources, negotiate rates, and obtain authorizations.
• Document conversations with payer sources and track satisfaction levels.
• Communicate customer service issues to appropriate staff.
• Work collaboratively with the Intake team and branch staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Occasional travel for training or meetings may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in health care delivery or related business.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Customer service focus and knowledge of insurance reimbursement preferred.
• Effective data entry and communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and human relations skills.
