Utility Inspector - Remote

Overview

Celerity is looking for Desktop Utility Inspectors to join our Northern California Utility team. As a Desktop Utility Inspector, you will facilitate projects by performing qualified distribution aerial inspections via desktop reviews of drone footage. These inspections are pivotal to the safety of distribution electric lines throughout the state of California.

In Short

• Review data in the form of video and/or photographs received from aerial drones.
• Collaborate with other Inspectors on various issues and inspection review questions.
• Utilize various computer systems and programs for inspections of distribution power poles.
• Inspect for visual pole integrity and asset management data discrepancies.
• Receive specialized training for the role.
• Work from home as part of a remote team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in relevant roles such as Journeyman Lineman or Electrical Engineer.
• Experience as a distribution line electrical inspector is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• General understanding of the utility business.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
