Overview

The Customer Service Specialist will work remotely from home in the USA, providing high-quality customer service in the biotech field, specifically related to reimbursement inquiries.

In Short

  • Answer incoming telephone and email inquiries from patients, clinicians, and insurance plans.
  • Provide support for submission of claims and follow-up documentation.
  • Educate callers on reimbursement processes and billing policies.
  • Review and resolve front-end claim issues for timely submission.
  • Utilize payer portals to check claim statuses and post payments.
  • Collaborate with patients and providers throughout the billing cycle.
  • Identify and report changes to insurance processing requirements.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and strive for excellence.
  • Work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Minimal travel required for training and meetings.

Requirements

  • Three years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center.
  • Two years of health insurance billing experience.
  • Experience with insurance claims and resolving issues.
  • Certification in Medical Billing and/or Coding is preferred.
  • Ability to type 35 WPM with 90% accuracy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
