  • Review and synthesize medical records against coverage guidelines.
  • Identify key issues in denial letters.
  • Craft persuasive arguments for appeals.
  • Assist in federal administrative law hearings as needed.
  • Provide a writing sample demonstrating appeal letter writing skills.
  • Type an average of 35 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Work Monday to Friday, standard 40-hour work week.

Requirements

  • Paralegal, B.S./B.A. or R.N. required.
  • Minimum two years' experience in healthcare insurance appeals.
  • Experience working with management and external entities.
  • Knowledge of health insurance appeal processes.
  • Typing speed of 35 or more words per minute.
