Overview

The Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for following up on rejected claims and overdue insurance balances, building relationships with payers, and ensuring accurate processing of claims.

• Follow up on rejected claims and overdue insurance balances.
• Build and maintain relationships with payers.

• Complete appeals and necessary documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required.
• Recent Clinical Experience in Healthcare Setting - Required.
• Knowledge of medical billing policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
