Overview

The Field Support Engineer II at ZEISS plays a vital role in Medical Device Field Service Repair, working with cutting-edge technologies and providing essential support to customers.

In Short

  • Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory.
  • Schedule and manage customer visits based on needs.
  • Complete daily field service reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory according to company guidelines.
  • Promote and retain service agreements to support revenue growth.
  • Interface with customers professionally and calmly.
  • Instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain company-issued test equipment and support tools.
  • Install and maintain equipment at trade shows as needed.
  • Extensive overnight travel required for training and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in relevant fields.
  • BS in Electronics, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer satisfaction skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to pass required training for servicing fine mechanics and optics.
  • Project and time management skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
