Overview

The Field Support Engineer II at ZEISS is responsible for installing, repairing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on surgical microscope equipment within a designated service territory, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

In Short

  • Install, repair, and upgrade surgical microscope equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on designated products.
  • Maintain customer relationships and achieve satisfaction.
  • Complete daily field service reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Manage spare parts inventory according to guidelines.
  • Travel extensively for service calls and training.
  • Assist in promoting service agreements for revenue growth.
  • Provide customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain company-issued tools and equipment.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, or Medical Field Service.
  • 7+ years in order management or inventory management preferred.
  • BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
  • Proficient with SAP and CRM systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for customer issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
