Overview

The Field Support Engineer II at ZEISS is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining surgical microscopes in a designated service territory, ensuring high customer satisfaction through professional communication and technical expertise.

In Short

  • Install, repair, and perform maintenance on surgical microscopes.
  • Travel extensively within the Midwest region.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Submit field service and expense reports daily and weekly.
  • Support revenue growth through service agreements.
  • Provide customer training on equipment operation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in related fields.
  • BS in Electronics, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and manage time effectively.
  • Good computer skills and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in customer service and technical support.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues.
