In this role as a Senior Research Engineer, you will contribute to making advanced machine learning design tools accessible and enjoyable for everyone, enhancing user experiences and driving growth at Canva.

• Partner with Research Scientists on multimodal generative AI research.
• Port experimental Python code to production-grade solutions.

Requirements

• Deep experience in developing generative AI models (Diffusion Models, GANs, Transformers).
• Experience managing large-scale distributed training infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of ML principles and experience with PyTorch.
• Solid engineering practices including clean code and rigorous testing.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity with end-to-end ownership of initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
